The Star Couture

Heard of Zaldy? Always known as Zaldy, the one and only Zaldy. Zaldy Goco, is his full name in case you don't know who is the man behind all crazy things that Miss Gaga wear. He was also hired as the main stylist/costume designer for Michael Jackson's "This is It" tour. You will be surprise to know that this Parsons graduate and FIT trained designer started his career as a model who had graced the catwalks for Gaultier and Vivienne Westwood. His stunning creations and crazy pieces were worn by many and he is also the man behind Gwen Stefani's label LAMB. Fabulous is the word, if not; it should be outrageously creative.

Streething, Femmething, Zouk: ALL FOR CHARITY

G
oosh, haven't have the time and effort to update my blog. Will do that soon. Anyway, here is one important news I would like to spread.

Online Webzine Streething and Femmething and Zouk Club will run a charity project on 7th Feb 2010 at Zouk Club's main room and Phuture. The motive of this project is to raise funds and divide the funds equally to 6 charity organizations.

There will be many participants like Nike, adidas, New Balance, JUICE KL, Limited Ldt, Lah Lah Land, Tea & Sympathy selling their stuff at a cheaper rate than the retail price feat. many goodies which are unreleased here in Malaysia. You will be happy to know that this is solely a charity event and 100% profits will go to the 6 organizations. High peak will be the auctions for sneakers happening each hour, so sneaker heads, log on to streething everyday to find out the item and time of auction.

The 6 charity organizations will be Kiwanis Malaysia, Furry Friends Farm, Haiti Fund through UNICEF, Kechara Soup Kitchen...

Please buy with doing a good cause. They need our support.

These Tattoo boys...

I have eight tattoos and I'm not done yet. Im amazed on people who are really committed to body art and they have a vision already of what they want. I am fascinated by tattoos but of course those kinds that I like. Here is one editorial shot by James Macari titled" Tattoo Youth". They all look fabulous with tatts triggered me to do mine soon...:)

Knitting Love

To be honest, since young... i am a fan of of those mohair sweater cardigan. It is just that our side of the world is too hot and I couldn't really wear it. However, there are still pieces knitted wear I kept since 90's as I believed the trend would someday some back. And it's happening now! I have been rocking those knitted cardigan and knitwear since last year, the lazy me threw them in washing machine and it shrinks .... shrunk... shrunken. now it is so so small that i cant wear anymore. So i have gear up and go look for some more!

I saw these fabulous pieces from Rodarte and will cost $2760 for a piece, WHAT? loving em but cant afford... anywhere else?

Fashion Revelation

The first time i saw something called "body modification" was from Leigh Bowery, how he actually modified his body using clothing. Fast-forward - futuristic fashion in 90's is part of body modification for me eg Hussein Chalayan architect inspired collection, Issey Miyake, Pacco Robanne, Thierry Mugler and even today's designers are coming up with different silhouette that modified the shape of the body. This is getting exciting in the fashion world... everything is becoming so robotic, we now have one Lady Gaga; in few years time, I think we will all look more gaga than she is and we might even make friends with robots?

Here is what I find both creatively done and inspiring, taken from L'Official Hommes China January Issue #226 shot by Xu Chuang, Modelled by Zhang Liang, titled "Fashion Revelation". At least now I have a preview what an asian would look like in the future. Not so bad after all...

Alighting by Grace Coddington

If you've watched "The September Issue" then you will know what an amazing stylist Grace Coddington is. She is simply unbeatable and had the eyes for all things fashion. I saw her work in the movie and came across one of her masterpiece. Amazing!
