There is always a pass down...

I happened to find this pic and info has it that he is a blitzkid from the 80's, I personally think there is always fashion being passed down (meaning like minded people). The styling and the way he dressed and looked reminded me of our local stylist Cris Yong and hairstylist Ming Wong. That's how fashion is being passed down from generation to generation. How andro can you be?

Power Shoulder, that's how I called it!

This is one I did for Femmething about the recent padded shoulder trend. Here is a deeper look into how it came about... :)

Power shoulders, that's how I called it. In our generations, we heard about shoulder pads coming from the 80's... admiring those vintage power suits that mum and aunties wore. But now not only shoulder pads, the whole strong shoulder silhouette has evolved... into something more powerful and looks like it could weather any storm!

These power shoulders are seen everywhere these past few years and recently the trend finally hit the streets, girls were seen looking for a more definite shoulder emphasis silhouette ranging from jackets to dresses. Do you know how the whole shoulder thing came about? Let's sit on my shoulder and bring you to the journey...

It is party time...

Have you seen a really muscular clown? Well, you are going to and he is in fact very good looking behind those make-up. Behind the lens of Eric Schwabel; Mitchell Rock is turned into a clown with errr... white penis, red bush and red neck... accompanied by Ben Patrick Johnson in more colourful bush. Besides the private parts, I find this entertaining and creatively putting muscular men in becoming clowns...

in case you care, here is how Mitchell Rock looks like without make-up.

Karma Chameleon

When London based photographer Daniel Gil Rodrigo and stylist Fernando Tornes get together, Karma Chameleon is produced. This editorial has been published in Argentinian magazine catalogue. Many of you might be thinking Boy George but, Boy George wouldn't have such great wardrobe would he?

What should I do?

Oh, this is just a short note on me struggling with my own thoughts. Maybe it came out of frustration. Went to immigration this morning with my boyfriend to renew his passport. When collection, they told us the system is down and people are queueing up without informing people... Luckily we walked up and asked, if not??? Then the whole place black out, can you imagine immigration office black out? WTF?

Anyway, i have the though of cutting my hair short. I always wanted to grow long hair but the length now is pretty irritating... ahhh, should I cut or grow it? damn.

Size, does it matter?

V Magazine is definitely doing something good. In their latest issue "The Size Issue", titled "One Size Fits All", shot by Terry Richardson and modeled by plus-size model Crystal Renn and a very modelly Jacquelyn Jablonski posing in similar poses and bring it on. The ironic part is Renn do not look awkward at all in fact, you can't really tell that she is a plus size. This simply means, if you wear it right, you can make it work!

Work it girl, make it work! Fashion is suppose to be fun and in your face!

V Magazine issue #63 will hit the newstand on 14 January 2010. And Renn's book titled : "Hungry: A Young Model’s Story of Appetite, Ambition and the Ultimate Embrace of Curves,” will be released this fall.

Really like this installation from Tokujin Yoshioka for Hermes. Something so simple yet so creatively haunting.
