Best known as part of the duo Guns 'n' Bombs signed to tres chic French label Kitsune late in 2006. Their mind blowing single "Nothing Is Getting Us Anywhere" had shredded U.S dancefloors throughout 2007. Formed by Ima Robot bassist Filip Turbotito and Chicago DJ Johnny Love, and their treatments of songs by Chromeo, the Teenagers, and the Gossip already became popular blog favorites and club staples.
Parted from Guns 'n' Bombs, Jonny Love now renowned himself as Deathface collaboration of entro mc the occasional influence of lucifer and the occasional sojourn with 2ce according to his myspace page. This quirky and party loving DJ is now ready for some serious top bangers and we'll have a chat with Johnny Love on his work and of coz, his summer parties.

Deathface is coming out really awesome, i just spent the day filming video clips for the 3d visuals for my live show, so thatll be really rad when we get to do it all together.

Any memorable moments while you were with Guns 'n' Bombs?
Yes, going to eat too much thai food with you and the other kids in Bangkok, is that too obvious? ok, how bout the first time I got to dj out of the United States, out of North America, and finally in Asia, that was memorable, theres some other memorable stuff but thats xxx rated.
What's a great summer party to you?
A great summer party is in a dark basement or loft with one strobe light, lots of bass, a good dj, very little clothes, and lots of sweat and alchohol all over everyone. anyway, thats a great party anytime.
Any crazy summer parties you'd like to share?
Well most of the crazy parties stories cant really happen in clubs because of strict security (I had a friend who was having sex in a corner of a club and got kicked out! if you cant have sex in a club what is the world coming to?) but once I had a loft party in Chicago where the bathroom door opened and revealed to everyone waiting in line for the bathroom 3 girls with braces doing cocaine on the sink, pretty sleazy...
When i first met you, you were all colourful and it bring joy to people; yes, those sexy yellow shorts shorts... pretty much a summer person! where you get your clothes from and your favourite place to shop?
I try to keep changing my style so I can never keep finding the same things i like at the same places, im better at finding clothes on the internet than in person, mens clothing is so boring, and if you try to add too much to it people in America think you're gay, so yeah...

You played at the hippest parties and met a lot of great Djs, Artists, clubkids and fashionistas.... what's your weirdest favourite party outfit?
Any party with club kids is usually guaranteed to have people who are putting in EFFORT to look good, i remember playing boombox in London and there were so many well dressed kids there that i felt like i was wearing a burlap sack in comparison. my favorite party outfit is anytime i can get half naked really, im a simple man with simple pleasures..
Favourite designer label?
Im a sucker for comme des garcon but lately rick owens has been killing it so hard....
What is the future for Johnny Love?
Hopefully being banned from certain cities for being too lewd. I hope..
