Jeremy Scott leading the pack with 90's Influence

I have been talking about the come back of 90's since last year but i don't understand why a lot of media still referring it back to 80's? Just don't get it. The grunge is back, the miniskirt is back, the velvet is back, the loose cut pants are back, bell bottom is on their way, turtleneck will be huge coming up, high boots is coming back with a bang, knitwear already burning like crazy... even music is going towards 90's inspired... don't we have em all during our 90's childhood?

Yes, finally someone agreed with me. Jeremy Scott is leading the pack with the 90's inspired collection. Taking an ode to 90's Gaultier with the infamous Madonna pointy corset bra. Woo-hoo, spotted high pony tails, turtleneck dress, printed shirt dress, high boots, mini dress, crucifix on biker, very The Blonde Ambition Madonna Tour in the 90's. You ready for a change?

Goldfrapp's Rocket!

Goldfrapp is back with a new album! I haven't get hold of the full album yet but the single "Rocket" is so addictive! Sounded like a 80's space dance pop, so dance addictive! Collaborate with Richard X on the remixes and the album, can't wait to get hold of the album!

Watch London Fashion Week Live

Remember when we were young with no internet? We were dying to even catch a glimpse of fashion runway on TV... and saving our bucks for those expensive imported fashion magazine?

Fastforward. Now we have easy access to everything... thanks to internet, everything is possible. That is why it is so easy to source for things then again, quickly forgotten about it after a while. Well, maybe that's life now.

Anyway, thanks to Canon; we are able to watch London FashionWeek Live. Isn't cool? So we can brag about the collections just like watching together with the front row.. No? :) Enjoy the show here.

May You Find Peace. R.I.P Alexander McQueen

It came as a shock to me when I heard about McQueen's death that night. I thought it was some rumours on twitter. But it turned out was not. I was loss of words and couldn't imagine a genius like that would choose to end his life that way.

I am writing this not to report the news but I just wanted to say a few words about the person who is ever so inspiring and creative.

I can't afford his clothes, But I have seen how beautiful they were made,
I haven't been to his shows but I know how he redefine the word "show",
I might not be fashionable but he teach me clothes is more than fashion,
I haven't met him yet, but i know he is still with us,
His work of genius will be a legend,
He can never be replaced,
Legend.

I dare to say he is the only one who push limits, who had a vision of a way of presenting his show. A show is indeed a show, not just any runway show. His clothes are created, spells more than fashion because it was never the current trend. It was a vision, an imagination turned into reality. Make it accessible, making it happen.

Who else can achieve all these besides Alexander McQueen?

To create is to create. Rest in peace Lee Alexander McQueen.

Stella McCartney adidas SS10 Collection Show @ Teeq Lot 10

Streething x Femmething x adidas hosted the recent and first time Stella McCartney adidas SS 2010 collection show at Teeq Lot 10. I did the styling of the show and Josh Bryan Ho for the make up and Unique Hair room responsible for the hair.

It was an outdoor show which we were meant to have the show on the lawn. With our brilliant set up, it looked fantastic with classical music playing and all vegetarian food and drinks were served. But, yes there is a BUT! The rain was starting to pour when the show was about to start. We hesitate to go on with the show or not (on the lawn), as the soil was damped and wet... After considerations, "the show must go on..." so the whole team decided to take a risk!! One of our team member Jeffrey Yee rushed down and bought 10 umbrellas for the models and YES, the show went on IN THE RAIN!

It was so Spring with the rain. The models were so professional and continue the show as if it was bright sunny day... The audience loved it even some of them had to hold umbrellas to watch the show. But it was perfect... with the rain stopped just in time for the 2nd round.

The event was a success. Beautiful beautiful show. Here are some pictures from the event. :)

Supplementaire First Issue

Gooshh.. haven't been updating my blog in weeks! Been busy completing the last few projects before really taking a break to celebrate Chinese New Year! Are you guys ready for a big break and give yourself a pat on the shoulder for all the hard work? And I am really ready to stuff myself with all the cookies and pastries on the table! Time for a celebration!
